It's a bonus for the Before Meteor OST Blu-ray (music BD), available in JP only so far.

Assuming we don't get access to this purchase at the games launch, it will leave a lot of 'green' non-jp players. Dalamud is iconic to our transition from 1.0 to 2.0!

Anyone think we will get this Minion if/when the OST comes to our shores?

They also said there will be a FFXIV Service Center site, from which you'll be able to upgrade 1.0 Standard versione. I'm quite sure we'll get the chance to get Dalamud minion in one way or another.

I doubt SE will be giving incentive vanity items away, and I certainly don't support a cash shop option. I just want to be able to buy the OST and get the same bonuses as our oversea friends. This way, having the minion would say something about me personally, I love FFXIV's music ^_^

I'd buy the OST without a bonus tbh, I love FF game soundtracks, and this one seems awesome! 5.1 surround sound end of an era trailer without all the compression artefacts, sounds amazing! ^_^

I'm sure the reasons are due to licensing or something as equally valid. Might be an idea to post it in the letter from the producer thread and see how many thumbs it gets though!

s a bonus, those that purchase this item will unlock a Dalamud minion for their character in FFXIV: A Realm Reborn. The soundtrack is due out in Japan on August 14th with no current indication of a western release.
