    Account Region Change?

    Probably a sore issue, but i am wondering if we will be allowed to change our SE account Region when FFXIVARR launches or before. Some of us have actually moved since we first made our accounts and honestly, since i live in the US, paying in EUR seems a bit ridiculous.

    I would like to pre-order the CE digital edition, but am reluctant since i hear that with the wrong region purchase your account can be locked.

    Hopefully there has been some new news on this. Anyone know of anything?

    Yea i cant remember when they made us pick a region... 2010 maybe? So 3 years is quit a lot of time

    Is there a link available to post questions, or is it like most streams where they pick questions out of the chat box while streaming?

    I asked about changing my account region last year and SE email support said it was not possible.

    I emailed them again yesterday. I mentioned again that my account region is overseas, and would it be OK to buy an out-of-region product just for physical and in-game items. In their response, changing regions was not an option.

    Also, fwiw, they confirmed that "as far as [they] were aware" the bonus items aren't region-locked, but the main product registration code for the game would be. They also "strongly recommended" that I purchase the version of the game that matches my SE account region in order to avoid any issues in the future.

    So as I understand it, the answer to the OP's question is no, but maybe if many others ask the same question, SE can discover a way to make it possible.

    I had this problem a whileback with my XI account (I, too moved from the EU to the USA) and they wouldn't change it for me. I hope that they may allow this in the future... Not for myself, my XI days are long-gone; but if there are others in the same situation that I was in, it would be nice to have a resolution for that.

    Yea i asked today about changing my region on Live Chat and the guy (Agent Londin G) simply just said no and Disconnected. ROFL.

    As for buying the game from a different region, the warnings they previously gave about not having your game & account regions match... i am still weary of. Doesnt look like that issue has changed since theyre highly recommending having them both match for 2.0 as well.

    They probably dont see the amount of people wanting a region change as big enough to warrant them spending time to address the issue. Thats just my guess
