I'm really bummed that I'm going to have a years worth of progress in a character and then they will release the Male Miqo'te. I don't expect any kind of way to convert your base character model. I just wanted to say I'm bummed.

I mean Iv been Ironchick for too long.... I just want to be Irondude. I guess race does not effect stats in 14 like it did in 11 so I shouldn't be complaining,but I'm tired of getting hit on by other dudes......

Maybe i should butch up my char with manly looking gear to compensate. Long spear anyone? Anyway... is anyone else planning on starting over?

Did you put some scars on your face? I added a scar, not many girls add the scar. Helps tell the difference a bit. from up close :P.

This might be one of the reasons theres not much in the auto translate dictionary of 14 :P

Why does everyone think they have to restart? they can easy give a 15days free race change once the ps3 is out. then if you want to change your race again they can sell it on square-einx-account for some amount of $ maybe also change names and stuff be there also and switch worlds. that be a limit time before you can switch again.

I think a *one time* race respec might be very likely to come when the new races will (might?) be implemented.

First off I wanted to say that it's great to hear the kinds of things you're looking for when it comes to updating the character creation options. We're seeing lots of interesting ideas pop up! We spoke with Yoshida and he said that of course, while these kinds of suggestions and ideas will take some time, they do have plans for it in the future! He also feels that it's important to offer the option to change your existing character's appearance at the same time, too.

Sounds pretty exciting, huh? What do you guys think?

A mod post from a while back on adding more character creation options. I'm sure if they'd allow you to go back and mod your appearance after adding more character creation options, they would do the same for race upon adding new races.
