    This can and will still occur, as new players also have the option to join established servers. The purpose of the brand new servers is to play in a world where everyone and everything is starting from scratch.

    but well i can easily imagine that there are many players out of there who are afraid of established economies. because they want to be the first one on the rank list.
    I seriously doubt "being the first on the rank list" is the intention here. The point is preventing a fledgling economy from hitting the ground at ludicrously inflated rates to the point of prohibiting trade by allowing it to ramp up gradually on a more "natural" scale.

    the gils are going to be already cut down in ARR for old players.
    It appears that you're still missing the point of redenomination. Gil (no 's' even when plural) is not being literally cut down. There is no loss of money happening. You're being given a dollar bill in exchange for the ten dimes you had previously. We've gone over this before. I don't know how else to explain it.
