Onto a topic though, im curious about what you guys think of it.

The Oculus Rift. http://www.oculusvr.com/

With many big name developers getting behind the technology, do you think that this will be a really cool device for consumers in the future.
I tried it, and it's absolutely fantastic, but it has a problem, and a big one.

The big problem about the Oculus Rift is that it requires a VERY powerful machine (it really needs to run a game near to a constant 60 fps with vertical sync to work well, and multiplied by two). So basically if you'll want to enjoy it with a current generation game, you'll always have to have a PC that's very near the top end of the spectrum.

That limits the viability of the Rift as a mass market product by a lot (don't ever expect to see it on consoles for instance), as most gamers besides the most enthusiastic hobbyists with a lot of disposable income simply won't be able to justify mantaining a top-end PC constantly updated and buying the rift as well.

IE: At least for the foreseeable future it'll be a very cool thing, for few.
