Where does it say that? I thought that was a matter of server stability, and the Alpha was for making sure that wasn't an issue.

As for the beta forums being bad: I agree. Not only will we see what the game looks like and start looking for things wrong (which we're supposed to), we'll be in a position to give feedback. The complaints have calmed down considerably in the months since 1.0 ended, but they're going to come flooding back as soon as beta kicks off. That's just the nature of MMO forums, or so I'm told.

Edit: It's not that I think it'll be a bad game. It's more that people are never fully satisfied.
