Guess my eyes aren't that great. I really can't see the difference.

The lower pic is in dimmer lighting. One might argue "the characters will only look good at night", but maybe the game as a whole won't have that nauseatingly bright lighting. I certainly hope not. The alpha/beta/launch comparison video I saw of 1.0 gives me a lot of hope.
