Silence, its not like Yoshida said this game will be a homage game.
Oh wait.. Hm.. nevermind..
Lol, that doesnt mean the names have to be the same - but I do agree that it also doesnt mean it cant be the same.
Exactly lol. We got Relic Weapons, a concept used in other FF games including XI, where you quest to get a powerful weapon even though XIV's relics were more in the design of XI's Mythic's Weapons. The only concept that would be different would be how it's obtained/story, since Relic Armor in XI was simply armor used by the Hydra Corps trapped in Dynamis.
Some people just really hate the idea of the two online final fantasy games sharing concepts even though both are from the same series.
They probably wont call it Crystal Tower, Just like they said they were going to have a Golden Saucer like area, but that they probably wouldn't call it Golden Saucer. Both will probably still be referred to by players in game off there predecessors name, but its in game zone name will be different for lore purposes I'd Imagine.
Same things but different names.
I'd love to see some sort of AF2 at some point.
Don't forget the Wandering Minstrel in 1.0 wore what could only be described as BRD AF2 (same design just different colour) - Yoshi-P's proxy gave us a sneak peak of what's to come in ARR perhaps?![]()
My prefered idea is to have AF2 (and perhaps maybe AF3) as quest items (if they do increase the level cap) as a reward for advancing a continuation of the job storylines and relic armor as sort of uber gear from a super dungeon which can be upgraded. For example, AF2 being reskins and relic being entirely new looking gear.
Maybe even have it go like AF2 at levels 71-75 and AF3 from 95-99, then have relics upgradeable from level 80+ from a mixture of crafting, questing (perhaps even visiting the job storyline quest givers) and high level FATE encounters.
Honestly, I wish they didn't use the terms artifact armor and relic weapons in the first place.
