is this thread some kind of elaborate trolling?

You know all this focus on the grass is going to bite you in the ass when the character models end up needing more work to compensate.
My offer to make a mob out of the grass still stands.
Just when my image of this forum started to improve you come with this...
You think you got grass problems?
Where I come from, Grass is a VERY BIG problem:
Where I come from, Grass eats you.

The secondThis screenshot is amazing... but it's not ARR.
I'm really keeping my fingers crossed that the overall visual quality in ARR is not lowered too much below what we had in v1.0. I understand that they are aiming to allow more people to play it with lower spec computers and the PS3. But I'll admit that I am a very visual person and the graphics in v1.0 were a big part of what attracted me to it.
Will wait and see...
i agree with you. for example i think that some of the new textures arent that strong like in 1.0.
but on the other side.. well look at gridania 1.0.
was it really an eyecatcher, i mean when it comes to graphics, textures or details?
just speaking about gridania 1.0. <-> 2.0. comparison
the graphics greatly improved. but well lets see how limsa and uldah look now.
It's undeniable that Grass in A Realm Reborn looks bad. And I am also sure that Yoshida and his Team know it very well, so in the future they will improve it. What is impressive is that the only bad aspect of Graphic seems to be Grass! It means that they did a very good job! Keep it up!
