Just out of curiousity... is it possible for anyone to have an opinion opposing yours and they not be wrong?if people are running content that doesn't require surgical precision, they likely aren't very serious about raiding. so my point still stands. furthermore, arguing that most content in this game isn't terribly hard doesn't detract from my point whatsoever, either, as "serious about raiding" and "easy/casual content" don't really correlate.
i also never qualified that my "serious about raiding" comment as specifically relating to FFXIV. in fact, i generalized with "modern MMOs" giving us context outside of FFXIV and it's largely easy battle content. most modern MMOs have far more difficult content than anything we've seen in XIV, and more competition within their communities. additionally, modern MMOs generally aren't as heavily chat-based as XI/XIV. this makes voice chat mostly essential if you're serious about getting the hard stuff done.
It's the internet...he has to be right or his self worth goes down the proverbial toilet

I didn't click the "like" button on either of two first posts because there are no PROs/CONs...
My PRO/CON about voice chat.
PRO:
Make things go easier...
CON:
They can kick me out all they want if not using a mic.
They can put me on their blacklist if they believe that I am an anti-social person (I won't tell anyone who I am.)
I am a leader and my party members want to use a mic.
They won't leave me alone even if they are trying to voice in my ears.
Voice Mail <<<< STFU!!! >.<
If they bring voice chat in the game, I guess I better off soloing all the way up or quit the game. I don't care if I am Legacy... *sigh*
This isn't a poll whether they should bring v-chat function into game >.< It's just curiosity on the part of the OP.

like talking to brick walls with FF character portraits pasted in the middle
continue ignoring the point if it makes you feel more comfortable and confident with your own position. pretty typical for this forum.
if they present their argument with corresponding evidence and/or proper logic, absolutely. and as long as people can maintain a fair amount of objectivity in discussion and exchange of ideas without letting their personal biases show, there's never a problem.
note that i never stated any preferences either way- i merely made qualitative statements with denotative language in reference to specific topics/situations. i care only about the principle of the matter, and in adhering to that principle i merely state what is and what isn't, and in in the event it's not so simple- in which situations it is and in which situations it isn't.
when a person takes up a position and fails to provide context outside of subjective personal experience (fallacious), without at least qualifying that their position comes from subjective personal experience and therefore should be taken as such- then no. it's impossible for them to oppose me without me demonstrating in what context they are categorically wrong.
notice how i never said they were wrong in any/every context. i provide the context for when they are, though, and if they can't acknowledge or accept that then i will be unrelenting in appealing back to the princple.

A forum you continue to post in. Your condescending attitude fails. /salute

when logic fails- resort to trolling and shitty one-liners. seems legit.
