    So I noticed an email being sorted to my crapbox by the spam filter, apparently from SE. Have they started sending out beta emails yet, or is this some kind of scam I probably shouldn't open?

    It's probably just that 'Apply Now!' Beta newsletter most people have been getting sent by SE over the last few weeks (I only received it a few days ago), as I haven't gotten anything new from SE since, Beta related or not.

    Ignore it pretty much - it's useless if you're a Legacy member or have applied already.
