SE has been known to reuse models of mobs over the course of time. I'm sure we'll see a King Behemoth or something similar implemented that isn't tied to FATE. As excited as I am for the content, I'd hate to see NMs and HNMs restricted to that.
well i was thinking maybe Fate Behemoth drops a pop item for the King behemoth, would give EVERYONE an equal chance at claiming the more prized King
I don't think you people have anything to worry about. Not every NM would even make sense for a FATE encounter. I think it's largely intended for major bosses and not typical NMs that are just a stronger version of monsters you know.
English is not my mother language. I'm trying to do my best, so please don't be rude...

Agree as well. This of course includes U/U crafting materialsI agree on tons of NM's with different pop conditions.
I do, however, think that all NM's should drop Rare/EX items, as to not make them targets for gil farming. Also, any NM with a pop timer of over 4 hours should be a 100% drop rate. They're still going to be camped like crazy, so how about make it less of a mind numbing chore and take out the whole 0% drop rate thing for the longer timers.
Camping certain things in WoW has taught me that long timers are the worst thing ever, but if the item is guaranteed, it's not as bad to camp.![]()
I hope you are right.
Yes, I remember it. But it does not mean that all Notorious Monsters will be F.A.T.E. events.
From what we know, each time you enter an area where a F.A.T.E. is planned, you can decide to join it or not. At that point you will be added automatically to a Party and can fight with other players against a special monster.
It was in the HNM thread. Was easy to find.. It's about as clear as mud but just using logic to make a presumption. We’ve been told that there are some very interesting ideas floating around the developer’s room for notorious monster spawn conditions in 2.0! Although, I cannot tell you what they have in store for you just yet (of course, right?), I hope this information piques your interest.
There are a lot of great ideas in this thread so far, we would love to hear more of what you would like to see so that we can continue to share your ideas with the dev. team.
IMO there needs to be a separate NM system in addition to a FATE-NM system, as an LS/Company need some form of control over organising their calenders/events. (and if we stick with just dungeons for LS activities, well with dungeon finder LS's will probably end up not being needed anymore but thats another topic)
Farming pop items/poppable NMs doesnt seem very much like what FATE is.
FATE seems more like Skirmish overlayed onto field area maps instead of seperate instances.
Heres what I hope from FATE
1. Make it like Skirmish with NMs popping when the previous one is about to die
2. Make it a cluster**** with NMs spawning minions like Atomos (for lulz when all the bots die) (if people are farming or partying in a zone and a FATE announcment is made, there needs to be incentive to join in, so hinder the zone until FATE is cleared eg with enraged mobs across the zone for example)
To prevent FATE from growing stale quickly however, there needs to be progression server wide
1. Successful FATEs in one zone open up possibility of FATEs in another zone
2. Successful FATEs against an NM allow for a FATE equivalent HNM to spawn (or drop several trophies that can lotted on and the winners can use the item to pop a HNM another time with their LS mates)

I was referring to this.
I read it, it is quoted on first page. I would like more information about it, but for some secret reasons we players have to wait. (For what?)
That would be cool. I'm pretty sure in the beginning that Behemoth will reward the little Behemoth pet and barding for your chocobo. Since FATE is something anyone can jump in and do, I don't expect the rewards to be anything mind-blowing.
When Yoshi-P says "Roaming Primals", I'm fully expecting this to be open world content, ala old school FFXI, but maybe he has something different in mind.
