(Any other mmo gives a partecipant switch on raids, 24+ men instanced content are dieing in WoW too, people prefer 10 ppl max party, while the large scale open PvE like dynamic events/ Boss is ok for 25+ ppl). Ranking ? Info on summoning system? Job system revamp? Characters customization like builds, specs ?(one of the greatest XIV problem is the characters clones.. 0 customization... )

    How about PvP? How it will be structured?
    How many partecipant? it will be a realm vs realm? ranking? castles to conquest? Vehicles?

    We are in almost beta, and we still don't know anything, oh nvm, we got ONE artwork!

    Oh and in Beta 4 (so just right before the release) there will be the coliseum testing...
    But.. Frontlines??! They will not be released at day1 i suppose... but the testing? PvP requires a lot of testing and balance, maybe more than PvE ... Meh, i'm not a PvP man, but i'm still worried.

    Also for both PvE and PvP , confirmation about a PTR server? (I don't want to see Garuda bugs again like overkill or shooting from behind the rocks...)

    Also i'm worried on a lot of announced things not present at release..
    Housing? Shortly after the release! Frontlines? *wind sound* Chocobo raising and customization? Not at release. Shiva? Same. Vanity slot feature? Not at release.. and the list would be much longer.. I really don't know what to expect at release so..

    I think it's about time for these informations, what do you think guys?

    I meant this in jest. I meant no disrespect. I have much love for my lalafell brothers.

    Those who are under the NDA are both blessed and cursed. They have the luxury of knowing some of what is definitely in the game, some of what is being modified, some of what SE have no plans to introduce, and some of what SE is planning on introducing at a later date. But those under the NDA have a responsibility to keep things that are under development SECRET ... lest rumors get out of hand. It is an awesome power. If it is to be used, it should be used with caution, and mindful of the consequences.

    That certainly would be a desired result! But Yoshi P has made it clear that he wants to appeal to a wider audience. If he only attracted former FF players, he wouldn't have accomplished that goal.

    P.S. And as an FF player, I want to feel more comfortable recommending the game to non-FF friends. It was a very uncomfortable few years playing, when I loved the game, but at the same time had little pride in it. That sort of mixed feeling is exhausting!

    The reason 25-man raids are dying in WoW is more because they no longer give different rewards like they used to, and instead give the same rewards. It's why they also unified the raid lockouts instead of giving you a lockout for 10-man and a lockout for 25-man like they used to in WotLK. While it doesn't seem like it, it was Blizzard's choice in item design and implementation of lockouts that's killing 25-man raiding guilds.

    (one of the greatest XIV problem is the characters clones. 0 customization.)
    Math and theory crafters will always dominate the game. Once the "best" build/spec is discovered, it hits mainstream and everyone uses it. It's the nature of the beast.

    I agree that we need more info on the class/job revamps, not to mention information and gameplay videos of arcanist/SMN.

    * The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.

    I think they'd be ecstatic to gain their subscribers back from box sales alone. (600k+ sales) Remember, FFXI generated them a profit only after about 3 years into the game's life and I don't know if subs had peaked by then or not. I remember reading something that FFXI peaked at 1mil subscribers at some point.

    Other niche games have gotten by with much less subscribers and still have been successful. Their ultimate goal is to turn a profit, and if it only requires 100k continuous subscribers to accomplish that, they'll be ok with that. Obviously they want as many people playing their game as possible though.
