Getting used to the chat log wasn't so bad in terms of the Eorzean and the immersion is actually a great way to improve your literacy of the font, but I never kept this as my regular font due to other issues with special characters and numbers being too thin to match the rest of the font to the point of being hard to even see, and had no support at all for kana/kanji so any shouts in Japanese were replaced by unsightly boxes. I can't read Japanese very well so that didn't matter, but the boxes were very jarring to look at.

Here's a fun exercise:
In Eorzean, write the name of your character, in a way that would look like your handwriting. examples
Here is mine, the larger one is printed, the smaller was supposed to be cursive. (but no Echo is drunk and needs to go home) Also, a doodle of your character is not required.

Happy calligraphing!my alphabet image file! Glad to see ppl using it! (need proof? check the username who posted it to the wiki.
)
I'll have to add my name to this. Thanks for the fun idea!
There we go, now with a little more practice and the help of trusty ol' Ctrl+Z...

Also like to thank the OP for starting this thread. I was going to get a tattoo and now I'm glad I didn't because not I want to do it in this font!

Type it with this font!
Thanks for that, I just need to install it on my system now (I already have Yrusama's Eorzean font on my system - thanks as well!).
I just tried writing Enki's name freehand in Eorzean, and it just looked like a cat's scrawl. I'll get used to it in time, but it seems to be more the kind of writing style that's meant to be written in ink, not pencil (you can kind of see the brush stroke with the way the lines of each character are rendered, which is different when writing with a pencil).
Ah well, practice will make perfect I guess and when I get it good enough to show others I'll post it (I was never very good at calligraphy though which doesn't help.).
