I Got A Beta Invite!

Suppose this is a good test for everyone. If you didn't get the newsletter, you may not have the right email address set up for your beta invite.

That's not true, maybe I could be wrong. Newsletter isn't always required to have an account like that. You still can unsubscribe the newsletter from SE.

What I read the bottom of that newsletter:

This newsletter was sent to provide the latest information about FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn. If you would like to opt out of these messages, send a reply to ffxiv-newsletter@square-enix.com without changing the subject or body and we will no longer send you the newsletter.

At least you know you have the correct E-Mail Address listed in Square-Enix Account Management.

I got the same thing... I was confused that SE thought I didn't applied for BETA which I actually did weeks ago.

Guess, SE love to troll us all? Nah, they just sent to all account holders.

Lol I was equally confused by the email saying to apply for beta, when I shouldn't have to being Legacy and all...

Those who received the newsletter, are you in the US? A friend of mine and I didn't get the newsletter EU here.

Edit: Our email adresses are, without a doubt, correct.

I am a computer scientist so I don't think they assumed that they MAY not have the right email address even if they didn't get one but okay. If I recall correctly, when you applied for BETA they asked you for your e-mail address, didn't they?

This is the first FFXIV:ARR newsletter. You may have unsubscribed from FFXI or FFXIV newsletters when they came, but this isn't tied to those. Therefore, if you didn't receive it, update your account info and unsubscribe now if you'd like.

I didn't apply for beta because Legacy people don't need to apply. I know that as an account holder, they have my e-mail on file. They probably just send out newsletters to people who have or had accounts. I still get XI newsletters and I deactivated my account YEARS ago. Now, I never participated in Alpha for 1.0, but when I applied for 1.0 beta, I can't remember if had to enter an e-mail. I would imagine so otherwise, how would they contact me if I got in?

In addition, it seems that signing into your SE Management Account might send out a newsletter. There have been few reports on this in the forums.
