Have you ever thought the reason SE don't want to make ARR into XI 2 is because they don't want to take subs away from XI? If they make it too similar but with improvements then XI will slowly die and be replaced with ARR. I don't think that's what SE want. Thus the reason ARR is going to be quite different.
