    We get it, you want to shorten the longevity of content from weeks to days and saying only specific mobs can be considered fun and worthy of your corpse(which you leave with regularity, otherwise why even have this discussion), but not others. Die 10-20 time to teraflare and still keep going, but flop to rancid belch or grave reel? Such an Eorzea is not worth saving from such beasts!

    And you think content in 2.0 cannot be extended because..why? Its the same genre of game, with the same business goals as a successful product. It needs players to be playing it long term. The game will suffer without that longevity in place.

    You cannot just throw bodies at a raid boss to win. You have to come up with a winning strategy or you will never beat it. There's already more then just gil repairs as a penalty, people have RL stuff to do so a raid team really only have like a 3-5 hour window to actually complete the raid or complete it another day. All that deleveling is going to do is increase the delay between attempts a people blaming others for not getting enough exp. Gil repairs works fine and you can give someone gil that run out. This ancient system of deleveling isn't going to work and I'm 100% sure it will never come back no matter how many people want it on these forums.

    I hope you understand where I'm coming from, I expect SE to implement 24 man raid similar to WoW. WoW there is no time limit, I know there was a 2 hour window you got to beat a boss or the trash will respawn. I expect the timer is remove because they are going to be much longer an hour long.

    I expect there to be a hell of a lot more content in 2.0 considering the dev team is 9 times the size of the original 1.0 dev team.

    Ah primal? 40k buffer in the first few minutes farming tapers/whatever pop item required.......

    Edit: INB4 this is our 1st attempt so we don't need to farm.. EXP reward for quest completion....

    That content will still need to last, and not just for you, but for future players as well. You have a life? How convenient! I have one too, In fact I'm sure everyone else here has lives too. The fact you have a life doesn't mean the game should be a corridor for your raiding party. There are other activities that are affected by this narrow attitude and will affect your own fun in turn, no matter how beneath it you think you are.

    I know real life limits some people, but it also doesn't limit others. I know plenty of players who have all day to play. Dungeon bosses (I hate the "raid" term) can indeed be killed with enough bodies thrown at them. Get back there before they reset / regen HP and you have less of the boss to kill. Doing this repeatedly, will get the boss down over time and be the cause of some pretty unconventional wins. I don't expect the EXP loss to be implemented, in fact I am almost certain it won't see the light of day, however I do truly hope there is some form of failsafe to stop people from repeatedly skipping over the core part of a dungeon. While it might be annoying or frustrating to repeat the dungeon, that just gives you more reason to be successful when you get to the boss. Sure there are those learning phases where you will wipe repeatedly, but I would hope that the dungeons are fun enough to want to repeat the core, not just spam the last fight.

    I am going to assume you played a lot of WoW and I did not. 2 hours however is an extremely long time to beat a boss. Especially once a strategy becomes apparent. To be honest I think the removal of time limits in dungeons was the worst idea they could have made. You will have people leaving their computer running in the zone just so they can skip over the core parts of the dungeon, and coming back the day after to continue where they left off. Uncapping anything can be dangerous, and I am sure that if there aren't any form of penalty on death, time restriction, respawn, or any fail safe to stop this from happening then you will have a lot of people cheaping out on actually playing the content.

    A game isn't all about the reward, it's the path that you took to get there.
