can you point me the minimal chain that show the amplified damage? because 2-chained BR didnt do much damage, did they?
Its scary there are player who dont know what BR is and insist its hard to do

As I understand it, a minimum chain of 3 WS or Spells is needed to generate the bonus damage, with the chance of it triggering on the 3rd ability. This bonus also applies to any WS or Spells that follow that 3rd in the same chain, which is why it's fun to stack 8 WS or Spells into one BR and see 6 players get big numbers. It's just a pain to wait for all 8 players to stack their skills. I'd rather run 2 chains of 4, gaining a possible bonus to 4 of them, and picking up the DPS and healing by not having the whole party standing there doing nothing.
Also, don't stack a regular attack after a WS or Spell, as that will effectively cause the chain to break. It'll still fire in sequence, but you won't get any bonus damage or additional effect when following a bigger attack with a small one.
Dear S-E,
Your s#!% has improved, but it's not quite there yet...you might want to see to that.
Thanks.
I like br (with what I seen of them) and personaly will like to see some combos from chrono cross like xslash where you combine 2 sword slash attacks.
anyway ty for making the post :3
HOLY....... never seen a spell in ffi do that dmg not till 75 and only with epic meritsthis is 3 WS and ended with 1 nuke

I don't think you should be able to use commands/attacks/etc while setting up a BR, that just makes it so people can be lazy and take forever to BR properly. BRing properly should mean you do it QUICK AND FAST. Reacting very quickly = smart/skill.
hahaha... that's mean...
I thought you had to have an active XIV account to post?
Thats what I keep saying... If they make it so you can still do commands while in BR then every battle regimen will be 7 weaponskills ending in a SUPER magic spell and be insanely powerful through no real skill or tactical planning.
As it stands now, Battle Reg are easy enough to do, but to get the real big damage boosts takes planning and timing
Actually, only 2 will do it, the key is they have to be from different classes....
An example... on one of the new mid range NM's, my Riot Blade (3000tp) was doing about 800 damage and my buddies Doomspike II (3000tp) was also doing 800 damage
I start a battle reg with the same 2 weaponskills... and first my riot blade still takes 800, but his Chaos thrust stacked next takes 1100 (Almost a 40% increase).
If that isn't proof enough, when my Riot Blade missed, His Doomspike II only took around 800 damage
If they were both Lancer WS than no boost would have occurred... Like Doomspike II + Chas Thrust wouldn't cause any boost....
If there was a third in the chain, it would have done even MORE damage....
Being that we were on voice chat together, it was really easy to coordinate and we spent roughly 1 second in BR and got an extra 300 damage per weaponskill. Multiply that by 8 people getting even bigger boosts
Now THAT is sexythis is 3 WS and ended with 1 nuke
