Glad to see we are all on the same page
Anytime... I'm glad to help
I love BR's wish everyone would use them. I just busted out a 2.5k Quick Nock on Cactaur Jack tonight with one ^^
How to fix battle regiments is easy as 1-2-3
1) add graphic animations (fancy eye candy)
2) Let us continue normal attacks while regiment is being setup.
3) Teach people how good it really is and how to use it.
Besides them lacking those things it is one of the better group based systems out there.
br is so pointless right now..
Dance like you mean it !
um. no?

Awwww... don't say that... have you seen how powerful they can be?
Yea, but when you do that you do 2 things
1. you make them too easy
2. You take away a strategic element of BR
They lock you out of battle, so that's your incentive to get them in quick and execute them fast...
If you can still attack while in reg, then they become OverPowered and they go from being an advanced battle tactic to some easily exploited power play
I LOVE! the concept of BR's I'm not very good at coordinating it yet though
Took me long enough in FFXI to get SC down lol
+1 and bump for this thread though, very helpful information.
I love battle regimens. The more the shell uses the more we like them. Very diverse. More fluid than skillchains. Very expandable concept, you can add a ton of gameplay and add fresh ideas to new battles with them as development goes along.
I'm afraid they've already been cut from the battle design, but they're really one of the best concepts in the game right now. I hope they stay.
All they need to change is allow you to enter commands after you set your regimen and the tp or mp aside for it.
People keep saying this.... But this seems too easy... and takes away the incentive to plan and execute them quickly and takes away the sense of accomplishment when one is done successfully
Also... if you can still do stuff while your BR is queued, then someone will always be in the middle of casting or an animation when the BR is executed... which could get sticky

I agree. I think all that's needed is for players to use them more often to get over the learning curve. Also, breaking a party-wide BR chain into two or three can be an effective solution. Though not as damaging overall, it won't keep the entire party queued up waiting in limbo while others are stacking their attacks.People keep saying this.... Parsing some data could prove it to be more effective, as those not in the chain are still adding DPS, and a BR chain 3-4 abilities deep takes a fraction of the time to execute, freeing the participants up to join in another, or begin rebuilding TP for the next.
Essentially, we as players need to analyze our execution strategies to maximize their effectiveness in the current iteration of BRs.
Dear S-E,
Your s#!% has improved, but it's not quite there yet...you might want to see to that.
Thanks.
