I just want backwards compatibility in all new consoles, then we can play PS3 FFXIV on PS4 if we want.

But let's get back on topic or move to another thread.

we should go back to translation but i don't think any of the console would have backwards compatibility they want you to play and buy PS4/xbox w/e games not play your old games if you want to do that you would just keep your old system they would say lol that what happen with ps3.

Backward compatibility is good for each new console. Wii can play gamecub games, WiiU can play Wii games, PS2 can play PS1 games, PS3 can play PS1 games and the first version also PS2 games, PSP can play PS1 games and PSVita can play PSP games and PS1 games.
I hope the PS4 can play PS3 and/or PS2 games. We have already enough Sony consoles for PS1 games.

agree but let see what happen it all up to what they think should be done. i bet the next console wont even have a drive to put in disk so would not even matter wonder why this new console did not come with it seem likedownload more and more what people are doing.

Would not be surprised if this happened, although if they did it would put places like gamestop out of business.

Not everyone has the speed nor the available data allowance to do that, we're a long way off for consoles to be 100% reliant to the internet.
