ARR:Dashe Herate (Sargatanas)Dashe Voln (Excalibur)
This. They never ban you without cause, permabans that is. They'll temporary ban you for hours sometimes a day but a permaban is earned lol.
Everyone active and not banned will likely get a fresh start since most of the subject matter here will be unrelated to ARR.
If you're banned, you did something to deserve it. They don't ban people from the forums easily (I know plenty of people who have gotten many notices of moderator action against them without a ban)
Thus, in fact, when you are banned, you should know why. They tell you when action is taken. Normally the content of the post that led to the action is cited, so it should be immediately obvious.
Again: if you get banned, you deserve it. Of course you wouldn't say the same thing if you were on the recieving end: Nobody is ever willing to admit they did something wrong.
Still in his scenario he may have earned the 1st ban but did not earn the secondary ban saying he was still doing something when it was literally impossible for him to do it. Also my main point still holds true, they are starting fresh and so should the forums.
No if you must know my brothers handle was Dargoth_Draconia, he tended to be a little hot headed at times but all he did was call someone retarded, literally.

Still, it would be nice if you quote his post here so we can look up his history posts but we can't guarantee you that even if he got banned there's nothing for us to do. This thread sounds like we should blame mods for your brother. o.o
Nevertheless, if he wants to take his time to read the rules below:
To learn more about what activities are prohibited on the FINAL FANTASY XIV Forum, please refer to the following documents at the URL listed below:
Square Enix Account Terms of Use
http://support.na.square-enix.com/rule.php?id=496&la=1
FINAL FANTASY XIV User Agreement
FINAL FANTASY XIV Forum Guidelines

Further violations made on the forum against the Square Enix Account Terms of Use, the FINAL FANTASY XIV User Agreement, or the FINAL FANTASY XIV Forum Guidelines, may result in forum access rights being revoked, and the temporary, or permanent, suspension of access to your FINAL FANTASY XIV service account. This would mean losing access to both the forum and to FINAL FANTASY XIV itself, so please take sufficient care before posting.
It's not my main point though I'm just saying some who may have gotten banned previously should not be banned in ARR forums because a new start all over the board. My bro just so happens to fit into that category so I used him as an example. It is only fair, I can understand why some would say no to this because of people like gift_horse and the other trolls that may have gotten banned.
Still new game should come with new forums and old issues should be wiped clean. If they can log in the game (paying to do so) they should be able to log into the forums and give their 2 cents.
My main point is even if he wants to avoid breaking the rules. New forums will have the same rules. For resetting all banned accounts, we will need an answer from mods though.
This isn't always a good idea though. It's like saying you did nothing wrong and deserve a second chance..if SE bans you they really don't want you around.
You can do something pretty bad in XI and get banned in XIV as well since they'll ban the SE account if both is linked. You may hack the hell out of XIV and be an absolute angel in XI and they'll still completely ban you as they enforce their rules. ARR is still basically FFXIV and if SE banned someone from XIV they still should stay banned from ARR. If SE excuses that they may as well unban everyone that banned from XI every time an update or expansion comes out.
Granted that i've been ban before.. for merely 3 hours for /sarcasm but meh, only once :P
