Not sure if you were aware OP, but the reason you're seeing a lot of RPers is because Besaid is the "official" RP server of FFXIV. Personally I play on Wutai and I haven't seen 1 RPer yet. Aside from that, those were some good questions, here's to hoping we get some answers.

1.) The back-story for Eorzea is interesting. Yet the plot seems to deal very little with the Garlean threat. There has been lots of talk about improving content. Is this content going to reveal more of the Garlean menace, or are you considering an entirely different direction?

I think that this question has now been answered, in-game, through the introduction of the some of the sidequests that are showing the players "the growing menace from Garlmond". Some of this revolves around Companies, and some does not.

I expect that there will be more content in said vein coming down the line.

Yes the two new side quests added to limsa deal heavily with the threat of the empire and there recent increase in activity. the new lower ranked quest even has a bit of a fight with a small group of "imperials" granted its only two sets of two r15's. but to my knowledge its the only direct encounter with the empire outside of the r46 main scenario quest.

I highly recommend running them. bunch of good story fragments to be learned. Even a bit of a hint to a in game reason behind a recent change to the game

Awesome~! I haven't done those quests yet, but I will take the time in short order to edit the OP to reflect the new revelations. Its nice to know that things are going in that direction... But I still am holding out for answers on the other ones. In the meantime, we're down a question, so it might be a good idea to replace it with a new one. Some feedback form everyone would awesome so we can all come up with something great to ask.

Some of the other questions have been touched on, though not clearly answered in these forums (for example, the question about party content). I am leaving these in for now, however, because they are more specifically asking about plot related content.

Questions I would like asked...
...Have not been asked/answered in an interview we can read online.
...Are generalized questions with specific examples
...Do not inquire about things we have received "We're working on it" answers about (i.e. PS3 release, chocobos, etc.)

Finally, I will be adding question #9, relating to plot, crafters, gatherers, and the problems therein.

And there you have it, another shameless bump.
