I replied to a post about teasing footage, not about the opener being a "Teaser". Teasing footage could mean anything,
a Chocobo taking a dump could be a teaser, but that doesnt belong in an opener.
    Let's set some ground definitions:
Opening movie: Movie that happens before you even start a new game.
Opener (really should be called prologue or intro): movie that starts when the game starts.
Teaser: footage or montage of footages released before the product to stir up excitement and desire for said product.

These are industry standard definitions. Regardless of what you or I say they should or should not mean, this is what they mean to vast majority of people as well as the people who make said product and made the terms.

Which, yes, is technically arguing the semantics of where teasing should go, in a trailer or an opener. In which I replied that this is an "opening movie", in which, yes, teasing does belong.
    because:

    b) What good is an opening movie to a game that shows you nothing? Conversely, what good is an opening movie that shows you the entire storyline of the game without having you play it?
Which means, if I made that too vague, yes, it is where teasing footage is suppose to go.

About replying to a teaser vs a teasing footage, I already explained this point:
An opener is usually closer to a teaser. A trailer explains what is coming up, and hence, needs a narrative.
I should have said "opening movie" instead of opener, but I was trying to not get too technical. The point, however, still stands. As seen from the quote above.

And yes, as I mentioned before, teasing footages do belong in an opening movie because:

An opener is an invitation to come in, not the intro to a book.
Again, should have used opening movie instead of opener. But did it to not try to sound too technical. The point still stands.
