Any word on when we will get an Auction House?

The AH in XI is essentially the same as wow. The only major differences are the following

No Search Feature, all items are static so you can just pin down categories and see the items in that category.

IE
Equipment > Armor > Helmet shows all helmets and sorts them any variety of ways.

When you buy an item it logs the transaction for 10 consecutive transactions so theres a price history.
and you get it instantly in your mailbox.

Can i know the process of FFXI AH, is it similar to AH in WoW? where once you got the item you need to wait an hour to receive it?

In neither game do you have to wait an hour to receive an item purchased on the AH. AH purchases in both are sent to your delivery box immediately. I'm not sure if that's always been the case, but that's how it is currently in both WoW and XI.

In WoW, we need to wait an hour before the item arrive in our mailbox. But if you say that in XI that AH send the item immediately that is good! but i love Retainer wards, because of my shopping habit :C who knows the item i find in the retainer that i mark have other things i want? xD but yea AH does beat Retainer Market by speed, but is ok, because is only taking a few minutes to walk up there to take it.

So in the end i dont feel the need of having Auction House as of it now.

There no point of a AH at this point, The ward is a 90% working AH. You look up a item you see what you want all you have to do is go enter and talk to the npc. If you to lazy for that then i don't know why you playing a mmo. I played WoW and the fanbase for the game is sick there all lazy want everything handed too them there all full of it. Big % of wow players know that Blizzard only want $ and don't like fixing bugs that been in the game sense release.

I do say this SE at least take the time to fix problem but one thing i want from them is. Listen to your players but don't become blizzard and add everything we want. I'm not playing FFXIV- fan made game i playing FFXIV Square einix made.

The ward works great no need for AH at this point.

I think you're confused. Items bought off the AH arrive immediately in your mailbox. Cash from sales on the AH, or items sent player to player have an hour delay. But items bought from an AH on WoW do *not* have a delay, they are instantly sent to you mailbox.

I really hope they add in an auction system. Market wards has some significant problems.

1. Wards become full. Once a ward is full, you have to take a penalty for putting your retainer in the wrong ward.
2. You have to take a penalty for selling different types of items on your retainer; can't sell cloth, food, and plate chest pieces without being penalized for 2 out of 3 sales.
3. Even with searching, it's a hassle to get your items or set up items for sale. Shopping for stuff in an MMO should be extremely quick and simple.

We don't really need an auction house, the market wards do everything an AH does except that you have to pick up your item(s).

I assume you're joking? For one thing, it is too time consuming in an already tedious game of required crafting/farming to look up prices, even by using the Market Wards. Even if a player WANTS to go itemsearch by itemsearch and find a good price that way, if there's 0 of that item, you can't even go back and check what the last one sold for. Inflation is already rampant and new players starting out have no chance of advancement--we are priced out of the game at the "get go". I can only suspect two things. 1. SE is just too plain lazy/greedy to dedicate the necessary resources to address this issue or 2. though gil slaving/selling is supposedly not allowed, they are encouraging it....perhaps as a money making venture with slaves of their own. Either way, this should have been foreseen and addressed in beta. I am strongly considering leaving SE and while I can't stand WoW, I'm sure I can find some other GAME to PLAY that isn't that much WORK! Where is the fun. I mean I know it's Asian culture to ingrain mindless slavery among it's citizens, but we're not all Asian and many of us HAVE jobs!
