Heya Raj! =D
Ok Ty, i thought so as well just wasn't in writing. But remaking my character each phase... and then testing my character transfer is gonna be interesting.
Awkward moments when there is a lot of people claims they are in Alpha (and yes friends of mine) still didnt get ban, yes it stated in the NDA, but YoshiP technically revoke that when he mention is OK to reveal they're in Alpha. He press strongly saying only informations from Alpha build is forbidden to be leak out. That is all.You still have to keep secret the fact you are participating in the alpha test. We will have to wait for beta test agreement to see if it still holds true for the beta. If you're legacy member doesn't mean you are participating in the beta test.
Below is details from agreement that shows you cannot say you're a tester. Once the beta test agreement gets released look for this.
Alpha Tester’s Confidentiality Obligations
“Confidential Information” shall mean (a) any and all information relating to or contained in the Products, Software, Documentation, or other materials supplied to Alpha Tester by Company in connection with the Alpha Testing, including, without limitation, information relating to the performance, conditions, capabilities, and contents of the Products and Software, methods of reporting and conducting, modification schedule, modification process and its progress in the Alpha Testing, AND RECIPIENT’S FEEDBACK, OPINIONS, SUGGESTIONS, AND COMMENTS (POSITIVE AND/OR NEGATIVE) REGARDING THE PRODUCT AND THE SOFTWARE, (b) the existence and the terms of this Agreement, (c) the Square Enix ID and password used by Alpha Tester, or by any other Alpha Tester, (d) THE IDENTITY OF ALPHA TESTER AND THE FACT THAT ALPHA TESTER IS PARTICIPATING IN THE ALPHA TEST, and (e) any and all information relating to the future or proposed products, services, or business operations of Company. Confidential Information includes, without limitation, all such information disclosed to Alpha Tester prior to the execution of this Agreement. Alpha Tester acknowledges and agrees that the Confidential Information constitutes valuable trade secrets of Company and (subject to the other terms of this Section 2.6) agrees to keep Confidential all Confidential Information, and only use Confidential Information in connection with Alpha Tester’s participation in the Alpha Test.

This should be crystal clear now.
If you have a link of Yoshida actually saying that, that would be great. All I know for sure is what is written in the tester agreement.Awkward moments when there is a lot of people claims they are in Alpha (and yes friends of mine) still didnt get ban, yes it stated in the NDA, but YoshiP technically revoke that when he mention is OK to reveal they're in Alpha. He press strongly saying only informations from Alpha build is forbidden to be leak out. That is all.
I doubt the moderators are that strict and will ban you just for saying you're a tester. Only problem with saying you're a tester is people start asking questions and others become more open to talk about alpha then you see several posts in the thread breaking the NDA.

Yes, you get to play through the rest of the phases. For example if you enter p1 you get to play through till p4 or if you get in from p2 you get to play to p4 etc etc. For each phases they just invite more testers. They don't drop people, just people stopped logging in. And yes, our characters are going to be deleted from phase 1 and 2 but phase 3 i don't think they're going to delete them.
Swore I read on the roadmap that legacy players are "ELIGIBLE" to enter beta but aren't 100% invited. Maybe I'm just reading it wrong.
In phase 3 you can use your 1.0 characters. Since SE plans to keep phase 4 character data to release they have to reset character data from Phase 3. If SE not going to delete the actual characters in phase 3 they will have to reset any progress.
Edit: Actual text from road map
Beta Test Phase 3
- Phase 3 characters will be deleted at the start of phase 4.
Beta Test Phase 4
- Characters created during this phase will be carried over to the official release.
* Circumstance may necessitate the deletion of character data.

1) You are not disallowed from telling people you in the beta test- you're only not allowed to discuss what happens in it with people outside of it.
2) people have known about Legacy since long before the beta was announced or that legacy players would automatically be participants.
I like to see the source for information #1, because the alpha tester agreement says otherwise. Beta tester agreement isn't out yet.1) You are not disallowed from telling people you in the beta test- you're only not allowed to discuss what happens in it with people outside of it.
2) people have known about Legacy since long before the beta was announced or that legacy players would automatically be participants.
#2 I would not say "legacy players would automatically be participants" It's more like legacy players have an automatic beta test invite. You aren't actually a beta test participant till you accept the agreement, then you are allowed to use the client.
Edit: This is the wording from the road map: "All Legacy status holders qualify as testers in phase 1."
