Funny thing is that this way players will now expect you to pay to travel everwhere instantly so.. :P

Its pretty much a forced gil sink- if you ever plan to group with players. Although, at least in beta and what I heard from people that play GW2 the fee is pretty much 0.

Falls exactly into the hub vs world box I was making. Dungeon crawlers is another term I would say.

Nothing wrong with it intrinsically. Personal preference against it though. Would rather to miss it if I was too far (giving proof to distance matters, and hence scale and world). Although I imagine most fates will last between 15 mins to an hour. So any natural and reasonable transportation networks would work as well. Takes you 5 mins to get there, still can be in the event and still had world scale.

But like I said it takes time to beat such high end fates... since every area has one free teleport area in the middle of the area it shouldn't be a problem to teleport there and run to fate via a mount...

Firstly GW2 teleport has fee and its become more expensuve tthe further you want to teleport

@max, idk what we are discussing at this point. If its like.Gw2, They are not gonna put teleport at every area where FATE happens, it will be at few outposts and u still have to walk where the FATE happens if the monster isnt attacking the camp, you also cant teleport directly to the camp if fighting is currently happening there or overtaken by enemy. Have to go to oother crystal first.

Abolishing anima isnt gonna trivialize transportation.

I was discussing that players can still make it to a fate even with the current system even when it is in a camp in some far off area because most fate's take a lot of time to kill and we have a free teleport in the center of every area. So if a friend of mine tells me that there is a fate in mor thoma and gives me coordinates I will have time to teleport to the free area in mor thoma and then run to the monster...

Second an off topic note... I just noticed... why do you have "Indonesian language" in your location... I think just taking away the "go" kanji would be just fine...

The teleport system trivializes transportation. Abolishing anima to be free only makes it the easier to trivialize. As Kirito (Max) was saying is that you used the airships and what not when out of anima or didnt want to use your last bit.

With no costs you will never even have Kirito's case. So it does further trivialize transportation.

Only thing left to use is mounts for that last bit of land after you teleport. Airships and such large scales are highly trivialized. Which seems very backwards in thought "large scale transportation" = meh "small scale" = more useful.

wow can't believe there doing it wonder what the point of mounts beside using it once you teleport to get to the spot. People have really become lazy lol.

I hope they make areas that only a mage can teleport the party too like a endgame zone or something.

I think tthats exactly what every other MMO did, so you are just against using gil for it keep anima and ppl without anima will have to miss fate bc it takes 15min to get tto mordhona and no sane person would do that everyday.

Yes it would trivialize airship and boat for transportation method, thats why they are making content for them so they arent ccompletely abandon, taking 10min and doing nothing is the past and i dont feel the need to embrace tthat idea, i want to kill monster not watching repeating scenery.

If you're high level enough to fight fates I don't think it would take 15 minutes... maybe 10 minutes tops... plus if a friend invites you to beat a fate, the party can wait for you or always start the battle and you'll still be able to make it in time to fight and possibly get the spoils...

What if high end fates happens in 4 completely seperate areas with differrnt respawns window? You'd spend 2hr jjust to choco back and forth between areas, also ppl wwould prefer to stand in city hub to get FATE announcement from other players. Do you think anyone would enjoy mordhona-uldah-garlean-uldah-somewheresnowy-uldah trip?

i agree other MMO done it i dislike playing wow but i did say the system they had was great. You pay a fee and get on a flying mount to take you to the area you want. Every camp had a fly paths. But sense they rebuild the game you can just use your flying mount to get area to area. I know when FFXIV sky pack is release we have flying mount i just hope we can some day use flying mounts in starting areas.

I'm type of players that can say i dislike anything wow but it got to the point that if you can't beat them join them lol. We going to have loads of Mounts we going to have flying mounts and swimming at some point. I bet we going to have little pets following us around that we can get so at this point anyone hating on it need to get use to it lol because we getting them.
