I have a solution for what seems to be a huge issue for people... even though the issue being argued is completely superficial and irrelevent to anything.
The game will continue as normal. Add a "hardcore" player dungeon only. I expect this dungeon to require a timelog of at least 6 months spent in-game. To appease the casuals, this dungeon will contain no graphics, only solid gray polygons. It will consist of one 6-8 hour fight, nothing else. This "NM" will have a 3.8% chance to drop a "Hardcore Player" seal. Once you collect 10 of said seals, you can use them to create your new super-awesome-hardcore-player Rank. 1 "E Peen". It's only purpose will be the ability to slap other players. You can upgrade your E. Peen by repeating this process and trading in 20 seals next time.
Casual players lose no actual content, hardcore players have something to waste away... well, I would say time, but let's be real, their time isn't important.
You didnt read the rest of my posts, Thanks =DToo bad that "challenging" has nothing to do with timesinks, or with making anything inaccessible to casual players.
Mind you, no one is "robbing" anyone of anything. Hardcore gamers don't have special rights or special domains. Everyone pays the same for the same game, and for the same content.
I continue to find it extremely funny how some self-elected hardcore talk about entitlement issues, while they quite obviously have the biggest entitlement issue of them all.
This, a thousand times this.I have a solution for what seems to be a huge issue for people... even though the issue being argued is completely superficial and irrelevent to anything.

Know why? It's perfect for showing how shallow some hardcore players are. :P
no i seen it too players with 12 hr to play who are worst then someone with less time. I seen it alot actually. those who play for more time tend to get PL alot more which take away the need of a challenge for exp/hr so they can get to "end game" asap.
and pere is pretty much right.
alot of people have started their posts with that. If gear is ever going to be a requirement to party not to sound weird, but is shouldn't take that long to get. I much rather party and level up then be forst to spend days weeks mnths hunting 1 nm for 1 peice of gear i "had" to have.
Bounding boots anyone? Some were not so lucky and took them years to get a pair. NM pop timers don;t make the challenge any more or less difficault. only the actual fight should be.
I agree to an extent. The new NMs have ridiculously fast spawn rates but abmysally low drop rates. I would prefer a compromise, maybe 15-30 minute spawn window and 3-6x the drop rates (basing this off of my current drop rate of the Kokoroon Darkshell Mail of 3.8%, 3drops-74nothings)and pere is pretty much right.

Lenghtening the spawn times reduces the accessibility of content.I agree to an extent. The new NMs have ridiculously fast spawn rates but abmysally low drop rates. Short spawn times/low drop rates -> Everyone gets a shot at it sooner or later. That shot may go well or bad, but the chance is there = accessible content.
Longer spawn times/higher drop rates -> People that don't have zero lag/bots (and a lot of time on their hands) will have a very hard time even getting a shot at it, because the spawn times will be overcamped. When one gets a shot at it, it'll be easier to get the reward, but many won't even get to enjoy the content *at all* -> less accessible content = bad design, especially in a game that *lacks* content.
This is even more nonsensical for mid-level content that will be outleveled in a matter of a couple weeks top.
I haven't read 56 pages of posts, but I agree to some extent that a player should be rewarded some way for completing difficult and/or time consuming activities.
In order to please both types of players the "casual" players should still be able to play the game they like and have a reasonable survivability in both PvE and PvP (if it were implemented).
If they make a series of "hardcore" raids or dungeons which have a high difficulty and low drop rate for certain unique equips they might make the game satisfying for both crowds.
For example "hardcore" dungeon A drop rare equips which are vital for "hardcore" players to survive in "hardcore" dungeon B. And "hardcore" dungeon B drops even better and rarer unique equips which are vital to survive in "hardcore" dungeon C. This can go on until most of the "hardcore" people are satisfied with the amount of difficulty and timeconsuming content.
As a "casual" orientated type of player I don't have any interests in the above described "hardcore" activities I have suggested. Maybe the same goes for most "casual" players so that this might be a possibility for the developers to please every type of player..
