Is the game really going to have a GCD system?

1.0 Stone Recast: 6 Seconds
ARR Stone Recast: 4 Seconds

1.0 Aero Recast: 6 Seconds
ARR Aero Recast: 4 Seconds

Both spells share the same cooldown timer in ARR, so you can't cast a spell immediately after using one. 1.0 didn't have this, so you could start casting a spell as soon as the other was done, while you waited for the other cooldown. 1.0 had more "spam."

As far as I can tell from the videos, the casting times for stone and aero are the same length as the GDC so you can cast another spell as soon as the other one is done. In 1.0 you could start casting another before the cast time for the previous was done. Semantics I know. (please don't hate me DB ; ; )

According to the pop-up window, the casting time for stone is 3 seconds, and the casting time for aero is 2.5 seconds. In 1.0, stone was 2 seconds and aero was 3 seconds. It was still possible to cast more magic at a faster rate in 1.0.
