    oh and for your information i am not braking any rules because my account is not in alpha, i do know someone who is but when i was talking about personal experience i wasn't referring to ARR i was talking about my experience with SE and there mmos because i have been playing them for a long time and took part in both alpha and beta of the original FFXIV

    Well, you're advice has come very LATE into the development. That what is this all about and why they do this to you. Might as well just leave it be or continue down the drain. Every Gaming Forums are always like this. Get used to it.

    Nevertheless you're input and advice is far too late. You're commenting on the basis of the core mechanic that they are not going to spend years to rebuild again.

    From the begining we already knew this is going to happen, in that "we" meaning that people who knew its goiing to have basis standard control like WoW, because WoW set that standard.

    What we can trust is only the content that they are giiviing us, also more features to play with. The more stuff and interesting thing to do, the better.

    I see FFXI has many features but the standard control freak out a lot, that is why it only be at where it is now.

    The game is wanting to have accessibility like WoW, and try to alteast get more than a million sub at first before going on more subs in future.

    Your all wrong about the grpahics and animation. Star Wars The Old Republic is the proof. It's not dead because of the graphics or animation. It's dead because of the lack of content. For me graphic have never been a matter of importance. I played FFXI for years with bad graphic. What in my mind is the most important its to have a goal to achieve in the game, something you can say:" hey i finally made it!" So place more content and goodies then placing your energy on graphic and animation. Monster Hunter just work nicely on that (not MH3 on wii tho) graphic are really bad but the action and feeling of achievement once you got what you were looking for is so great, it make the game cool to play.

    Well, Zork was the first online MUD (multi-user dimension) back on the old ARPAnet. I suppose you could call MUDs "precursors" to what we now call the MMORPG. Adventure laid the groundwork for that design, but you couldn't really call it an "online" game.

    You are correct about Neverwinter Nights, though.

    I think the response thus far to the latest Alpha First Look video proves that I'm not all that wrong about the importance of graphics and animation. Even though it's been stressed time and again that the graphics and animations in the alpha version are provisional and incomplete, a lot of people are up in arms over how it looks right now.

    I'm not saying it's more important than what you call content. I'm saying it can be just as important.

    If FFXIV ARR is going to be a game that has slow action, slow questing, slow story and insane competition ill say one thing the Graphics better blow peoples minds out off there nose in a fountain of blood like in anime, if not it really dose not have a great deal to offer new players.

    But pepeol wont stop playing because the graphic is less impresive then 1.0, i will stop playing if the game doesnt give me any feeling of accomplishement. Downgrade of graphic and animation is just something you can say : oh well, they look more cartoon now." but if the games is lacking in content, be sure pepeol will stop playing.
    IM placing all my trust on yoshi to succes on this part.

    I agree with you on competition. I prefer Cooperation. But some pepeol like competition.But from what i eard, the action is really fast. But hey, when its out, we will be more able to judge the game if we like it or not. I have fate in yoshi for the good content. Still i have that litle scary feeling that i may dislike the game i always been a huge fans.
