About Beta invitation

I know this thread has been going on about geographical locations, and OP lives in a weird spot. Wouldn't that mean she would be top for alpha invitation for the fact OP lives in a geographical location no one else does, and they need proper testing? Anyways after this whole alpha thing, they mostly care about the specs of your machine and play time... the people with the best comps got in first to test the game and people with worse comps got the last alpha invites, but thats still only about 2/6 of NA? It's not like 90% of people got in alpha...just chillax because the vids they post pretty much is the sum of alpha.

Prolly ppl with the best and the worst setups get in first so they get data from the upper and the lower specs.

"Entitlement" has been given a negative connotation by not very knowledgeable internet forum warriors.

"Entitlement" is actually quite a positive concept in any commercial environment, as it keeps relationships between paying customers and companies somewhat balanced.

There's absolutely nothing wrong in those that supported the game until now feeling "entitled" to give feedback about ARR's alpha, beta, and whatnot.

1.0 and 2.0 are different games with a new producer, I was able to play XIV 1.0 closed beta, but because i signed up on a page that gives some beta keys (cant remember the name of the website), but not sure about now, that's why i'm asking if any dev can reply.

Also, i'm from Argentina.

That's an assumption, and even if people from South America got accepted, they wouldn't be able to confirm it here due to the NDA.

I know there are more people from South America and can't tell here if they were able to play the game or not, but at least on my country i know ten people who play, 8 of them with adress on Argentina and 2 with a fake Na adress, those 2 got accepted to play the alpha, at least for me, that is a pretty rare, then the other 8 people and me didn't received anything. On forum i remember reading something like "A lot of my friend got an invite and i din't" "I'm the only on my ls who didn't got an invitation", so is a bit rare, at least for me, 9 people, all with adress here who didn't get to test alpha.

Stop blaming the players. Blame western developers that does this. As for the topic itself, SE doesn't officially support South Amercia as I recall (no studios there) so there's a good chance they may overlook it if you had to sign up as NA/EU with your SE account.

Indeed, there is no office or at least some support for south america, only a website with an old contest.

Sorry, english isn't my main language and i'm not sure what entitlement is, i can assume that is something like since i followed SE for a long time and i played his game i will always give positive feedback regarding if there is a problem.
And no, if that is what it mean, i'm not kind of person, when i had to say something about the game being so bad at the release i said it, when after some updates the thing go better same as i did when i told people about the bad things i did it again on forum of my country, i always looked to increase the people of my country playing the game.


Also, i'm not crying now because i didn't got any invitation to alpha, i only want to know if this restriction will be on beta too, because it really sucks to keep everyday waiting to receive something that i won't never get.

"Entitlement" quiere decir algo que la persona cree que se merece, por cualquier cosa. Como decir, "ey, yo juge XIV desde alpha 1.0, deben darme una invitacion!"

No creo que tenga importancia el pais de donde vienes. Escogen de regiones, si, pero no podemos saber cuantos mas argentinos/latino americans han podido meterse al alpha con sus direcciones verdaderos.

Yo te diria que mejor esperes a que salga el beta, porque aqui SE no te va a dar una respuesta oficial sobre las selecciones.

Basically just explaining stuff in a language I think they'll understand more. Meaning of Entitlement and how we don't/won't know how the entire selection process works, and for them to wait for beta and see what happens.

Oh, thank you ^^. About the selection, like i said on the first post Bayohne told us some things about the selection, like how they look on where we live (geographical locations), so i wanted to know if the same thing on alpha will be on beta, but maybe you're right, the only way to know is to wait till beta start at end of january - feb,

Lo que me quejaba era que no conozco a ningun sudamericano en haber entrado al alpha sin meter direccion falsa de norteamerica. Solamente los que pusieron alguna de alli y por eso queria ver si directamente esperaba a la salida oficial o la beta abierta o tenia alguna chance para la closed.
