About Beta invitation

"Entitlement" quiere decir algo que la persona cree que se merece, por cualquier cosa. Como decir, "ey, yo juge XIV desde alpha 1.0, deben darme una invitacion!"

No creo que tenga importancia el pais de donde vienes. Escogen de regiones, si, pero no podemos saber cuantos mas argentinos/latino americans han podido meterse al alpha con sus direcciones verdaderos.

Yo te diria que mejor esperes a que salga el beta, porque aqui SE no te va a dar una respuesta oficial sobre las selecciones.

About the selection, like i said on the first post Bayohne told us some things about the selection, like how they look on where we live (geographical locations), so i wanted to know if the same thing on alpha will be on beta, but maybe you're right, the only way to know is to wait till beta start at end of january - feb,

Lo que me quejaba era que no conozco a ningun sudamericano en haber entrado al alpha sin meter direccion falsa de norteamerica. Solamente los que pusieron alguna de alli y por eso queria ver si directamente esperaba a la salida oficial o la beta abierta o tenia alguna chance para la closed.

Entitlement is having a right to something. In this case, it's the belief that one has a right to something, but for no convincing reason.

Creo que la parte de "region" que dijo Bayohne se referia a las 4 regiones oficiales, NA EU FR DE, de donde sacan sus selecciones. No creo que el pais cuenta, porque vamos a decir, Canada, Estados Unidos, y Mexico forman parte de norteamerica. No solo van a aceptar personas estadounidenses, sino tambien canadienses y mexicanos. Lo mismo diria para los de centroamerica o sudamerica si es que se registraron con una copia del juego de NA. Ya si usaron una copia de EU, entonces sus selecciones van a ser con terminos de los europeos XD

Si es que tienes estatus de "Legacy" en tu cuenta, hay una alta probabilidad de que entres al Closed Beta, porque han dicho que en cierta parte vamos a poder usar nuestros characters de nuevo. Por eso digo es mejor esperar. Ya veras que vamos a entrar todos para disfrutar ^^

Explaining how the "regional" thing was most likely referring to the NA EU FR DE official region branches, and how they probably aren't looking at specific countries; basically just taking lottery from the 4 regions. Also the likelihood of how Beta will allow Legacy players back in, especially if they're saying we get our 1.0 charas back at some point.

Al principio pensaba que las regiones era dependiendo de que juego habias comprado, si tenias una copia NA contaba para ahi, de europa a esa region y asi. En si FR y DE entra en EU . Y lo de los mexicanos, si conozco a varios que entraron y si es porque son contados como NA, por eso hablo como NA y no de USA.

At the begining i through that regions were depending on the game you bought, if you had a NA copy that counted to be from NA, if you got an EU copy to europe. About mexican people playing the game, i know a lot of them but like you said, i counted them on NA, that is why i refer to NA and not USA people only.

It sucks to be left out on an acceptance email to Alpha, I was left out as well ,but when my whole LS got accepted I questioned as did everyone else. Once again its another question as to why SE didn't send emails to your region as opposed to the many other questions players are asking for a response from the community team or Dev. team.

Beta is around corner which means a few things "A lot more invites," "More servers open for testing", " More Races are playable." Plus, understand everyone in Alpha will have to start over from lvl 1 in Beta (closed) to those who do get accepted.

Go play Skyrim or some other game released for the time being because the forums are getting depressing as far as receiving feedback from SE. on important matters.

Yes, and i'm not questioning not getting an invite on alpha right now, the point if i'll be able to play closed beta or there will the same restrict. I'll be playing FFXI till SE let me play XIV ^^.

Nice to see more people from SA, the only thing that i hope is that you are from a different team than Sao Paulo, got a bit of hate to them from the past wednesday xD.

When it comes to "geographical locations" I think they mean the bulk of the testers were chosen because they lived:

a.) in Japan
b.) in the western U.S.
c.) in the U.K.

This was done because that's where SE's three main offices are located, and they likely wanted to have as many people online slamming the servers during normal business hours as they possibly could.

Yes, I know it would make more sense to have people on the U.S. east coast and Germany in the alpha, since the afternoon/evenings in those places happen during normal business hours in El Segundo, CA and London. But that's not how managers think.

Yeah. I think it was all about what time zone you live in, and of course being in the northern hemisphere, which is the best hemisphere. ^_^

Oh, and pizza. But that isn't really an Italian invention. It was something that Marco Polo dude brought back with him from India, and Italy just added a bunch of tomatoes and cheese to it.
