With seeing these videos, they're able to provide feedback that can hopefully help with the development of the game. The other things you're asking for may still be in development and maybe all that's ready to be shown at this point is the content in the Alpha.
I'd rather them not showing anything at all versus showing boring videos that only give negative presses and lower players' trusts and interests.
