Once beta begins and the NDA is relaxed, I think the internet is gonna be blowing up with gameplay videos. As far as marketing goes, if I was in charge of marketing for this game I'd be working out a deal with Valve to sell ARR on Steam, and hooking up with Sony to make some TV commercials for the PS3 version.

FFXIV on Steam would assure LOTS of sells, more of if Square allowed them to provide 50% discounts and such on the summer sales and all, because as far as Square goes, it's way better to sell the finished game cheaper than profitable and gain a subscriptor, than sell at full price and that the person leaves after the first month.

Yep. No reason for them to not sell this game on Steam. SE already has a bunch of games for sale there, including FFXI.

Maybe SE will drop the NDA in closed beta, they did for the 1.0 closed beta and people were able to promote the game make youtube videos ect.
