The funny thing about this statement is most people referred to the "horrible F2P games", never seen anyone say "XI didnt have it so don't put it in XIV!"...that's also another thing about the FFXIV community, so quick to interject their personal distaste for the game into other's statements even though that's rarely ever the case of statements being made.

    7. Questing as a form of exping - So much rage when SE released questing videos. Some FFXI purists
Get over yourself. Most people that are tired of this progression is tired of it because it's been done to death in almost every new MMORPG, you don't have to be a "purist" to want something new. Quest chaining is basic these days..but there's a reason people get bored to death of every new MMO that comes out..aside the gimmicks, they're all the same game underneath.

    Everything else
Seems like you can't see past FFXI or you'd realize just how overdone a lot of this is and why those MMOs aren't exactly taking off and dies off or tapers down to a dull simmer after a few months.

The perfect example of a poster who wants everything to pretty much be exactly like FFXI.

^ Perfect example of a butthurt poster, I'll bold exactly why too:

Forum rage comes from the fact that a lot of people on here have only played FFXI and FFXIV as their only MMOs and either want FFXIV 2.0 to be FFXI HD

    1. Jumping - A lot of ragers hate jumping well because it wasn't in FFXI and WoW has it.

    4. Regional Servers - A lot of rage came out on this topic because a lot of FFXI players

    5. Faster Battle Pace - A lot of rage on this is because once again FFXI players

    7. Questing as a form of exping - So much rage when SE released questing videos. Some FFXI puristsdon't like quest based leveling because they grinded lots of jobs in exp parties and did the same thing in FFXIV and think everyone should do it, reasoning ranging from it helps people learn their job to they make friends on the server will doing exp groups. Solo based quest leveling has become a staple of MMOs once again this was set by WoW and a lot of former FFXI players can't stand this. As it stands the general MMO playing population much perfers quest based leveling over grinding.
You're so butthurt by FFXI/FFXI players you inject that into your every post. You're right though, Almighty Zumi, people who got bored of WoW, Rift, Tera, SWTOR and GW2 are FFXI purists.

See this is a FFXI purist at work here, can't stand the change lol. Maybe FFXIV isn't for you since they are using more modern MMO concepts. Why not just go play some more FFXI?

As I said, you're right, Zumi, FFXI purists are the reason people got bored of all of the new MMOs quickly, has nothing to do with the game itself.

There shouldn't be any problem with people posting their opinions and thoughts on the game, and acknowledging someone else's post as "bullshit" just because you don't agree with their post is actual bullshit(unless a) they're grossly misinformed or b) it's for the funny :P ), but that doesn't mean that a person can't at least present an intelligent argument/disagreement without it devolving into a trollish, garbled "no U" slapfest. After spending some time browsing through the TOR forums, I was able to witness some REAL internet bile. I'd like to think that this community is better than that, and there's plenty of proof of it, so let's keep that part going.

As for grammar, I'm just going to echo one of my English professors: "If you didn't care enough to proofread what you were writing, why should I care enough to read it?"
