I don't think they ninja'ed alpha invites tonight or we would've seen a post on twitter. I'm still in the waiting room.. :/
We're doing these threads again?
Then it became active at that moment and they took that window of opportunity. Why is this a problem? They didn't break any rules.Only that not everyone should have the same chances as everyone else, per the rules that Square Enix themselves set.
Inactive accounts could not apply at all for most of the application time. They were allowed access (probably accidentally) only towards the end. It's a proven fact.
so....
this morning I got email from SE, has the subject Alpha test. When I opened, I got this:
http://uman.eu.square-enix.com/track...email&id=email
Really?
I don't even squat about alpha and I even enjoying myself with FF11 right now. But throwing this email is kinda slap on the face. Re-register? When I am unable to since I already did WAYYYY back then?
Is this their way to mock loyal customers?
Oh btw... that email wasn't the first time I got, but back then I can take it easy. But again this time? How BAD is the management right now that you cannot identify customer who already did or did not apply?
I am so unhappy with this, not because I've still yet receive alpha invite. I don't even really care. But don't throw this email like we're BEGGING to play alpha and make us worship it. Very uncool!!!![]()
Sorry, but it doesn't make sense to have only active FFXIV accounts gain access to the applications. None at all.
The game isn't just for you. They didn't redevelop the whole thing simply for you. This was for the global MMO market. So, how on earth would it make sense to lock it to only those masochists who stuck around? Hmm?
The alpha is a version that it's main purpose is stress tests. However, for an alpha, it's in pretty damn good shape and in even greater shape than 1.0's alpha, beta, and release combine. Why would it be a bad thing to kill two bird's with one stone and do stress testing as well as attempting to prove that FFXIV's rebirth is legit to naysayers?
Ha! That's pretty rich.so....

So many complaints about not being able to get in, and their response is to ask for more people to sign up.
Not sure what they're thinking here. I mean, yeah you want to get a lot of people in, but there's quite a few of us eager to hop aboard right now.
That's the problem. I'm not even eager to try alpha because I do know what alpha purpose is (or so i thought). If I do get invite, then yeah I might try it. But I do wanna take this break as chances to enjoy other things.
But if they don't want to give invite, then why keep spamming my inbox with that worthless advertising? I mean how bad is SE management not able to identify who applied and who don't?
I just written my complaint to SE right now about this. It is really annoying!![]()
My lil account has been open again for the last year...and still..nothing -_-, Even had an FFXI account open for id say close to 5 years. I thought the Legacy accounts were promised All Alpha and beta invites.maybe i read that wrong hehe.
You should usually be able to unsubscribe from things like that via a link in the lower part of the email. That's the problem.
