    We theorized in the other thread that it could have been when the devs made all the accounts active so they could log in for the final event on the 11th. It could have been here that the inactives got the short window to apply and have their applications submitted. An oversight on SE's part.

    Don't ask me lol. Maybe they don't feel they need to? I can't answer for them. But it's the only explanation possible for how inactive accounts were able to apply to be Alpha testers.
