Please stop showing boring videos

Hi all, i have heard a lot of bad opinions about ARR due to the boring videos that SE is releasing to the public. I know there are a lot of improvements there but that's not the way to show it to the people. Instead showing that kind of videos u can try showing a party of 4 or 8 in a dungeon, something with life, music, faster, showing the combo system, moving, showing cut scenes, new skills, ifrit, moogles, chocobos, places (not running 3 mins in gridania, something faster cuz that's so boring), etc.. there are a lot u can show right now so please show it before the people keep saying ''that's so boring, stand still and hitting 123123123123'' (cuz that's what u showed in the last video).
Better marketing SE please!, that king of videos are not helping.

I appreciate the videos, but if these videos are in the intent of bringing newcomers in, then they could do a bit more. Its a good start and shows the basic of an action, but at this point, people want to see the potential the game has. Give us a reason to be excited. If I showed these videos to anyone thinking about playing FFXIV, they wouldn't help at all. These videos are mostly for people who played the previous version.

If it is their intent to only show it off to current players, then this is right, but newcomers want to see content like dungeons, FATE, etc.

In SE's defense however, it is alpha, and this is the most they can show. Other areas and content I believe are still being worked on.

I would expect videos like these till beta comes in and the game can flourish itself more.

As an alpha stress test (which SE couldn't "stress" enough that's what it is...pun intended) there isn't really much to show. I like it that we are getting to see something of the game even when its not finished.

You know ... I actually AGREE & DISAGREE with the OP.

I do agree that they shouldn't have shown the battle system YET. Being that this is alpha and an unfinished game, first impressions are lasting. However, they HAVE to show something, so if this is all they had left to show then I understand.

Everything SE shows of ARR needs to be polished to perfection and it needs to be exciting. ARR is climbing an uphill battle so mediocre videos won't cut it this time around.

PS. I still enjoy seeing ANYTHING ARR related lol.

Um this is Alpha, it always say's Alpha video, you cant expect the world out of it. When the game gets closer to beta or in beta im sure they will be marketing the game more intensely. If you dont want to see what the environment looks like then simply dont watch the video and go play WoW.
Seems like people always find something to complain about with this game.
