If I recall correctly, it asked me to log in my account before fill the application form.

"Acceptance notifications will be sent to the email address registered as Email Address 1 on your Square Enix Account."

I specifically recall that there was no place to enter an email on the application itself.

Ditto. So, when applying, you are applying directly with your account info. So, they have all your info, other than the application questions asked.

Thanks for the info ^^ i guess he just didnt have luck since they send it to the updated e-mail (its upadted on the square enix account system to the newe-mail since he made it).
