Warning of Square Enix Payment Options

as in going through JP ultimate to have to even get to paypal options? My point is about making the payment systems easier to use. This is like middle age payments for mmo's

Whats wrong with useing the square enix account management to do a credit card payment. I do it and its fast and I have had no issue, hell you can even use your bank debit card to pay your monthly fee's. Again just use your credit card or bank debit card with a visa/mastercard symbol in your account management for SE it cant get any simpler and easy than that.

I just want a simple option where I enter my info, and I'm done. I find it easierto deal with cases of stolen credit card info then actually using my info to pay for this game. seriously. My card was stolen and charged $800 one time. I called the credit card company, said it wasn't me and it was fixed right then and there (some questions asked) The entire process took 30 minutes. It took me like 3 hours to finally get my billing set up right for this game and that seems to be getting lucky compared to other people who deal with this stuff.

This is not correct. This was implemented when the massive sh*tstorm went down as SE discovered they were about to lose a large chunk of their XI playerbase. Of course, people who were capable of paying by other means would not necessarily be aware of this.

Direct Credit card payment is now available from the overwhelming majority of countries. I think there are only a handful still excluded for reasons of trade regulations and so forth.

I too kept getting the credit card errors, even though my card works perfectly fine on every other website I've ever purchased from. It wouldn't even let me buy Crysta. Fortunately I was able to use my fiance's card, which worked fine, but not everyone has access to another card. Please SE, it's 2012, there's no reason for anyone to have so much trouble when buying online.

Edit: I should mention that said credit card worked for XI.

Hmmmm FFXIV doesn't have Paypal right? :< sad panda... . The only Online payment gateway that except my *DEBIT CARD* and is not available for FFXIV..

I'd have to say that I have never had any issues with subscriptions with XI (since 2005) or XIV. Or with adding Crysta, which I last did in September 2010 before the official launch of 1.0.

Yes the payment options right now are effing stupid, even paypal randomly fails.

I tried my 3 visa cards, they worked one time (despite them always being the same ones I used and still use every now and then on FF11) and then they stop working telling me the CC is no good (the fuck?) then I go and use paypal...I randomly get a paypal error that still has no answer and makes no sense since I use paypal for EVERYTHING online so its not paypals fault...

I tried adding my mother's CC to automatic monthly pay...but it was too late since I only did it for the last month that the game was up for paying and have no idea if it will work...

For all the crap people gave to FFXI playonline system it worked a thousand times better than this backwards system.
