SE is always SE... Rage inside... :/

No one here in entitled to anything. This is a confined alpha test with bugs, and no data progression. Everything they do character wise is meaningless and subject to change. I have friends who have been with the game day one and got in, but I didn't. This community is beyond pathetic sometimes. Crying over every little thing, and feeling like SE is always giving people the bird. To be honest i'm glad people who are crying didn't get in. They most likely would have been a WORTHLESS tester.

They need alpha testers that have different perspectives. They need people who haven't kissed their asses and gave them a free pass when they destroyed the game the first time.

I grow tired of whiners of the "supposed" whiners... As if you have some right to tell people how to feel.. LOL. Guess what Sherlock.. they paid for the game, supported the game, and simply WANTED to be apart of alpha ASAP. No "magical sense of entitlement" (which is quickly becoming the new troll phrase for today..), just desire to be apart of it.. pretty much exactly like those who DID get an invite but didn't support the game. Both parties wanted to be apart, but it seems only one part was favored at this time. Players that have been around supporting the game who also wanted to be apart right now could feel at least somewhat slighted, as they actually invested some time and money already, while some of the others who got the invitation have not done anything.. This isn't rocket science.

The supporting players may have been waiting/expecting/hoping for Alpha ARR for the past 2 years, while some of the players that just gave up years ago never to think about FF again until they overheard something about Alpha applications a cupl months ago. It's not a fair system, which is obviously going to upset people, but then again it wasn't designed to be in the first place. SE covered their bases when they specifically told everyone 'how they went about doing the Alpha selections' wasn't going to be disclosed. Obviously, it's designed to bring them the largest return, as people have already been suggesting. For you not to be able to see this show in fact it is likely you who would have been a "worthless" tester, as you put it.

I was responding to someone about a completly different issue than whatever you're even talking about.. (who mentioned anything about changing the game or not being able to wait until the next alpha/beta/whatever??).. and yet you want to talk about meaningless posts??? RIGHT, gotcha..

Its perfectly alright to be upset about it. I didn't get an invite, I am disappointed, but I will get over it. SE definitely covered their ground and most likely will not respond to any complaints in here.

However, I can definitely understand how people feel in here. Been around in the game since day one, dealt with all the hardships, giving feedback all the time on forums, threw 14.99 a month at SE for them to keep up both the current version and development of 2.0. Then you find out SE doesn't prioritize your years of service to them and pick up a person who quit after the first week and constantly bashes the game and most likely will not give any proper feedback on the alpha itself.

While you can't be mad at SE, its understandable to be mad at the situation itself, which I am, but this is playing on fair ground and all I can do is hope another wave of e-mails come before Wednesday.
