Ya, that's what I heard too. it was supposed to have a staff and do ranged damage or something. That was why I said they were re-purposing. A little disappointed I can't summon the primal themselves but I'm ok with an Ifrit powered carby. I think I also heard talk about them looking at adding in other avatars to summon later on? groovy beans!
