I wouldn't complain if it took me two hours to get if it was a guaranteed drop within that time frame, because then I'd be able to arrange my schedule around it! But this didn't happen in today's example, and that was what really irked me.

If I'm going to invest a substantial amount of my time into a game in a single sitting, it has to pay off in some form or another. Either in substantial amounts of SP or a good item drop.

The point is that this game is badly balanced in terms of time investment-to-payout ratio. Make the NMs instanced, or at least build instanced dungeons for the NMs to reside within, so that a party can bash their way through a horde of monsters before reaching the boss...that would make it more engaging, more interesting, more fun, and ultimately for a person like me, a great expenditure of my time.
