^Sealing Dalamud ritual on the banner above Minfilla's desk.
I can't say I paid much attention to that then, but this was probably in the game before the whole Dalamud idea came to be, so I highly doubt it initially represented the sealing ritual. The characters inside are "12", and there are twelve staff-like shapes around the circle. To me that's either a symbol representing the Twelve themselves, or just a banner for the Path of the Twelve. This is in Minfilla's office after all.

What is highly possible, however, is that Dalamud's exterior aspect and the sealing ritual's eye candy were imagined in relation to this symbol, giving it a new meaning in the process.

Well the possibility of Catapult been right is there lol we don't know how good she is with Echo and she could have witnessed the first sealing ritual.

My own theory is that banner representing the event that awakes our echo power, the star shower from the opening and they conveniently put 12 falling stars to represent the 12 deities

My point was that the game designers came up with the Dalamud storyline a long time after this asset was included in the game. Tanaka's vision of FFXIV didn't lead to it being destroyed by the moon's descent. If this was part of the original game before Yoshida took the lead, then it's impossible to attribute this symbol's origins to the sealing ritual that created Dalamud, because that's something Yoshida imagined, not Tanaka. Thus, it has to have another significance: I wouldn't look much further than "represents the Twelve, because this is the office of the Path of the Twelve's head missus"

What if Dalamud was always meant to be? Depending on how they are interpreted, there seems to be sublte hints all over that indicate, all that has come to pass was already written.

What if the "Past" was meant to fail? So a shining new future could reign under the watch of a powerful ruler. In a world that was recreated by the people, for the people.

Which quest is that from? I don't remember anything like this (Gridanian here)
Travanchet was from the Limsa Lominsan storyline, and that image was taken from the quest "Never Shall the Twain Meet", which was the last quest in the series before being scooted off to Ul'Dah to start the Path of the Twelve quests.

After analyzing the progression of quests in the original storyline, I wonder if their original vision was to layout the quests in the manner that FFXI did. By that I mean, you do about three ranks worth of missions for your home city, learn about the greater threat which is the Shadow Lord, then once he's defeated, go back to helping out your home city.

The feeling of incompleteness of your main city's storyline reflects this I think. The formula it followed was:

Do stuff pertaining to your home city
Learn about the Garlean threat, which was really never concluded since Gaius whooped some ass (Path of the Twelve)
(Incomplete step) Go back and deal with whatever was going on in home city. In the case of Limsa Lominsa, learn more about the Ascians and the Sahagin.

At least that's the way I felt it was going to play out.
