Are you a parrot? Cause you sound like one, repeating the same thing.
Things are different now. It's a better team, with a new engine, efficient development schedules, no rushing to be release, and clear goals. In front of us is a game rebuilt from the ground up within the span of a year. Have some faith.
I really hate to play the pessimist, but this right here should give you pause. I'm more than willing to accept that they accomplished a miracle and rebuild the game engine from the ground up in 2 years. But do it in two years and not have it need one of the most rigorous shakedowns of all time? Unlikely. This is a time that we, as fans, should be at our most critical. I'm not saying we should be negative. I love ARR so far, and everything we've seen from it. But this is a perfect chance for us to help them get it right.

Literally what the alpha tests have been for. Stress testing the new servers.I really hate to play the pessimist, but this right here should give you pause. Sadly, the forum has already been over this.I really hate to play the pessimist, but this right here should give you pause. If we're not in alpha, none of our feedback matters.
I guess we just have to see problems and ignore them completely, it wouldn't be fair to hurt the poor dev teams feelings. When Yoshi-p stated he wanted feedback, you could tell he was actually recoiling in fear from the concentrated wrath.
Because it is completely impossible to point out issues in a constructive way, and any issue means you hate the game and you want it to fail and you're a hater who should go back to FFXI or wow.
Exactly, all I'm saying is that even those of us that are not in the alpha test proper want to do our part. And if that's limited to pointing out the little things that could be improved, so be it. At least it's something that keeps us connected to the project while it's down.
I don't see the issue with people "Nitpicking" they have clearly told us they want our feedback. Just because you feel these are not important issues that need to be adressed doesn't mean others don't.
Let's say the animations. We have been told that alot of animation have been bluntly slashed from the game for no discernable reason besides them telling us it somehow effects gameplay (When there are many examples in the MMOverse showing the oposite).
So it's not suprising we are very sensative when we see other forms of animation are also showing a lack of polish, Alpha or not they shouldn't be worried about giving us the silent treatment and should be as transparant as possible with less cryptic half explanations as possible.
People should wait until they are INSIDE the alpha before they start bitching, seriously. They are basing their opinion on what, a few videos with someone running around?
