Two years ago people were also screaming at Tanaka/Wada to push back the release date and they didn't listen. I doubt it's going to happen again, they've delayed 2.0 as needed.
Where's the problem with that if the opinions are precisely about the running? I don't read a lot of stuff in here, so I don't know what's kind of threads are being made. But the topics I -did- read were perfectly justified.
We don't know which parts of the game are close to final and which will be reworked in a major way. And for the most part we'll probably only find out at release. So there's no harm in pointing out issues we can observe in the current version. If they are aware of it and already got it covered - great, they can ignore it and no harm is done. Otherwise they know which parts of the game need more work.
Basicly, TL;DR version of what happens on the forumsWhere's the problem with that if the opinions are precisely about the running? I don't read a lot of stuff in here, so I don't know what's kind of threads are being made. But the topics I -did- read were perfectly justified.

Someone makes a post
a huge pile of posts show up supporting or not supporting the thread
nit picking begins, and new threads are born
????
Profit
Repeat steps 2 and 3 indefinitely.
thread about the towns not being "lively" enough. in alpha? no kidding.
yoshi even said himself they are planning to work on making the towns look more lively.
these threads are like game reviews being written before the game being played.
not to mention that a lot of things are currently being adjusted and tweaked.
for example take the first video of alpha, the animations are less abrupt than the ones shown there.
no back tracking, etc.
I don't see any nitpicking. So far it's just people showing concerns regarding this or that. Just because it's not interesting/petty to you, doesn't mean it's not important for someone else.
Maybe because non-English speaking forum users don't have to be reminded of this fact?

1. It's up to Yoshida-P and Dev Team to listen to the player's opinion and feedback even if it's very minor.
a. If the feed back adds up and Yoshi-Dev Team feels it deem doable in-game they will implement it.
2. It is our job (players) to provide feed back to Yoshi-P whether it's during 1.0 through 2.0 Beta and beyond.
a. whether we are whining and providing solid feed back it's still our job to voice our concern.
b. the weakest link (complain or feed back) will be listened by Yoshi, however it will be toss out the window or kept
on the low priorities.
problem with letting non-employees do the alpha/beta test they decide they want to play the game out right. and nitpick rather then trying to see if anything breaks the game and say who they broke it.
there even a post of people wanting to keep there beta characters there not there to test there there to play the game to get ahead.
i was on beta3 of version 1 and the fourms were full of whining anytime someone addressed a problem they were flamed and people were people more worried about getting LS's set up.
tanaka was a worker he can only say when he might be done, his boss is the one who will say you will be done on this day. no different then any other job that has deadlines.

To be honest I don't like nitpicking at all.
But what can we do? They will always exist. They come on to the forum just to post something that most people will think it's unrealistic.
And then we have people who are in my opinion more realistic people who has patience and has a mind set to be able to wait for first global alpha test before voicing minor and important feedback.
Oh well, there will be ppl who are overly demanding and ppl who demanding in a more realistic manner.
Tanaka was no mere worker and i don't think Wada had a sudden change of heart and only Yoshi-P has been granted the freedom he has specially because of the two Tanaka is the more experienced one ..so no.
1.0 was launched that way bcuz that's how he wanted to launch it and then start throwing out the expansions just like FFXI but he didn't get the chance bcuz it flopped , in a few words his strategy failed
Im sure SE can handle feedback.
