God, please, no.I can understand being busy..but at the same time..it really doesn't take much work to slap in some screenshots or make a write out, like they did pre-launch party for 1.0.
Hell they're still dead silent about XI's new expansion, when by now there would be at least some teaser info on the expansions website in the light of ToAU/CoP..but can blame ARR for that just like you can blame 1.0 for WoTG's 3 year life span on content completion.
Like it was said before though, if you notice after every major update/event there's dead silence for the next few weeks..so with them taking a break next week..it's honestly iffy if we'll get something even though they mentioned weekly videos.
Can we forget that FFXI exists already? Please?
That game is just spiraling off the deep end and I really don't think it's fair to put them on the same pedestal as the FFXIV team.
When it comes out and your able to play it you will know all you need to no and as you play those questions will come to light.
The old man in me remembers the good ole days when we didn't need a continual flow of hype. The game came out, we maybe say a 30 second add, or just saw it in the store, we bugged our parents to buy it, and we played the heck out of it.
How times have changed, now that we want everything given to us on a silver platter....takes the fun out of mysteries, discoveries and exploring, doesn't it?
A bit, yeah.
The problem of course is that the temptation to suck up every bit of information we can get our hands on, especially if we find ourselves stuck, is often overwhelming.
Cause remembering conquered troubles fondly is always a bad thing. Also; nostalgia glasses.
You know what nostalgia glasses also give there, golf. A neat little thing called hindsight.
Problem is, what benefits from giving us every sliver of information possible about something before it even hits retail? Like reading the full synopsis of a movie before it even releases in the cinema (exaggeration)? I don't mind hints and pieces of things, as they're doing atm, but some people think they should even release the coding for the game for us to examine...
Oh yeah, because it was so fun having years and years of no information with FFXI.A bit, yeah.

Look at Duke Nukem Forever. It's a current example of why being left in the dark for years on end is a bad thing, Stine.
