at what point have I said that FFXIV should be a specific way? To the contrary, I have only ever endorsed diversity. And diversity can only be achieved with different server types. People detest things that others woudld like. The whole auto-attack debacle is proof of that, so it's only in SE's best interest to try and keep and attract as many players as possible, rather than seeking to exlude them for what seems like no reason at all.

Diversity is good, I agree. However, by having pvp (if even in a few servers) you break that diversity and segrigate the community. The implimentation of pvp alone will do this. With that in mind, SE are looking for as many players as possible. You are a pvp player in other MMO's i presume? you are playing this game also, right?

I personally enjoy some pvp. However, there is no need for it in this particular MMO.

I am not talking about diversity within servers, but a diversity of players upon whom SE can gain subscriptions from.

PvP will not deter people if it does not effect them, and it will only attract people who want it.

There is a need for a whole host of things in this MMO, and many of which cannot be implemented for fear of upsetting its current userbase, which is perhaps all the more reason to create different servers for the players SE wants to attract without effecting the players they are too loyal to lose.

Don't waste your time he just don't understand. FFXI/FFXIV is not other mmo PVP is not there goal, even if they add PVP it be something no one really would do because they would be 100x more stuff to do in PVE you be busy all day.

I don't understand the players that say there noting to do in FFXI, when you could easy do a few thing you don't need ppl for like craft, or do some campaign battle.

PVP,PVE,RP world would cut down the player base, There to many MMO out there and we wont have that many players. I for one not seeing ffxiv having anymore then a few mil players. They wont ever have 12+mil like wow that just to crazy of a dream.
