I LOVE THIS IDEA. However it will never happen. The first time someone loses a valuable card they spent months trying to collect they will whine and make life for Square-Enix a living hell. But if the community wouldn't be so baby-ish then this would be an amazing idea. I love triple triad.

I loved Triple Triad in FFVIII! Sometimes I play FFVIII just for that card game.

So yes please add this!

However I didn't really like tetra master.

Also the last few harder rules on Triple Triad, I also didn't really like.

But I would love a CARD Game, people love to collect things, so some people probably just want to collect them all. People like me <3.
Even if I don't like the card game itself, I probably would like to collect them anyway. I hope you can collect them all! Would be cool if you could show your collection on the lodestone.

But it must be in-game.

They should combat this by making the reward for winning NOT be taking someone else's cards from them. Maybe if you win you should just win an expansion pack or something.

Yoshi has already stated that he would like to add a card game. At this moment he is not satisfied with any of the ideas that have been brought to him. They are trying to make a system that can't be abused and they want to implement an adequate reward system that will keep players playing. The last thing he wants is to add a game, the players play it, then they forget about it so that the game becomes excess fat.

There's no reason they can't have a "Friendly Game" option to play just for the sake of playing. But they shouldn't eliminate the winning of cards from people. That's the risk of the game. If you want to win cards, you have to be willing to lose cards.

I'm sure everyone who has played Triple Triad in FF8 doesn't remember ONLY the good times. They remember the times where they've lost a GF card, or a Character card, all because they were winning, then got slammed by a Same! Plus! Combo! on the final move.

It's a part of the experience.

An idea for a reward system would be like how Everquest/Everquest 2 does with each booster having a chance to get an item card that can be redeemed for different items, they could also give players free boosters every month like somewhere between 1 to 5 booster packs
