    Somewhere in here they talk about adding in more animations.

    They won't be like 1.0 animations, but I imagine they'll be smaller ones added in, like your feet moving when you turn around instead of your character swirling on the spot.

    They're adding boob physics.

    I'm sure they will touch up the animations either now or at a later point. They'll be hearing quite a bit about them once NA gets on alpha and beta I assure you.

    i'm bummed it wasn't answered, i think it will stay like that which sucks for me personally.

    it is the only thing i don't like about arr, everything else i absolutely love but it might just be because its alpha.

    each to their own i guess.

    As someone else mentioned, I was fine to let the issue drop until beta if they mentioned it during the live letter...but looks like it's back to hell raising

    Seriously, fix the animations

    Still unable to comprehend why people are making a massive stink about the animations. The animations are fine!

    Frankly I'd call the reviewers crazy for liking what I'd call over-animation- It's because of those animations that not being able to cast immediately after stopping and not being able to quickly turn (having a turning radius like an 18 wheeler) were problems in the game.

    I'm totally cool with a dash of non-realism in exchange for much better gameplay.

    I personally like the new animations. Its so much quicker to move around. I don't really care about extra steps that make me feel sluggish as I move.

    Whether they add more animation frames or not to make it more 'real' there will be those hardcore players who 'breakdown' those animations and do whatever they can to 'cancel' out or pick the most streamlined tactic to avoid those frames of animations(I.E not casting every few swipes on Ifrit to prevent animation lock >_>), it's pretty common in fighting games.

    So hence, remember that this is a game first. If they have to down a few frames to make gameplay more smoother, then so be it. You can get your 'animation' fix from looking at SE's CGI trailers, which they're known and criticized for.

    Blaa.... I'm really hoping this is just things not finished as its alpha atm, some cutting down I understand to help people run the game with more people on the screen and on low/mid end PC's but meh, the quality of the animation and textures was a saving grace of the game.

    The its Alpha, It's beta, It'll be better after launch! was used a lot in the previous alpha/beta forums to try and get people to stop raising things they considered an issue.
    An we know how that ended, it as no diffident in the end.
