That means there is still animation lock. And some animations lock you through the whole motions. Try it with Chaos Thrust. Bloodletter. Simian Thrash. Magic spells. There is STILL a lock that is painful. Even if you spam other inputs after it.Some abilities lock you because of the animations. Movement just transitions based on your input. It's not like you have to sit through every animation, and it won't play an entire animation if you interrupt it. Just tried it in GW2 and it's pretty much the same. An animation only fully goes through if you aren't putting in any more inputs.
Yeah...there is animation lock. In the battle animations. I'm not talking about those.

Ooo, I get what you meant. Sorry, I misunderstood your post.
Yea, animations didn't have anything to do with stuff outside of combat (as long as I could see) - it was there to disguise the bad coding and stuff under it, at least as I could tell.
Nah, my fault. I am not the most clear writer.
But now we are getting into the territory of animation lock discussion which I am kind of iffy on.
Actually, testing it out some more, gw2 is more responsive. But it still has far better animation than 2.0 from what we've seen, because it still does have good rebound animations and returning to rest and what not, so simply having animations in and of themselves isn't the problem.

The thema is movement animation.
Test it yourself. Press ingame W then S and look how much time your char need to run in the other direction.
